Festival Info

Welcome to CarmelFest, Central Indiana’s premier Independence Day celebration organized by the Rotary Club of Carmel. Steve Krusie, CarmelFest Chair, is leading the all-volunteer committee that organizes this family friendly, community event on Sunday, July 4 and Monday, July 5 at One Civic Square and Carter Green, in Carmel, Indiana.

CarmelFest is celebrating its 33rd year—offering games and rides, your favorite festival food, fantastic entertainment, an outdoor marketplace featuring local artisan creations, spectacular fireworks and a patriotic parade. The two-day celebration includes the city’s biggest fireworks display on both nights synchronized to music on WHJE 91.3, so don’t forget your radio!

The CarmelFest committee works diligently to bring you an event that spotlights the best aspects of our community and our national heritage. This year, we will be introducing some new rides, games, and musical acts for your enjoyment, as well as featuring many of the favorite events that make CarmelFest so unique. We hope that you will follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, with event and parade information also shared through our local media partners including CBS4 Indy TV, Current Publishing and Cumulus-owned radio stations WJJK, WFMS and WZPL.

If you’d like to get more involved in the planning process and/or help with hospitality for the festival, we could always use a few more volunteers! CarmelFest would not be possible without the support of more than 300 volunteers collaborating to bring this heartland tradition to life for the anticipated 55,000 visitors that attend.

The CarmelFest Committee cares about your safety and the safety of our beloved furry, feathered, and even scaly friends. Due to the extreme heat, along with hot pavement and sidewalks, we have a NO PET policy to protect both our festival guests and your special pets.  We greatly appreciate everyone’s help with following this guideline as PARADE SPECTATORS AND EVENT ATTENDEES.  And please…don’t leave your pets or children in an unsupervised or hot car!
